Thank you so much for your patience and understanding as we’ve continued to postpone opening registration for a 2021 event. We are a small, local, race operations team and have been riding the ups and downs of the wild year with you, constantly uncertain of what the next month or even next week would bring. It is long overdue, but we are here to share the updates!

First off, here in Oregon the sun is shining, more and more of us have been able to hug a friend for the first time in a long time, our (resilient and amazing) neighbors who lead local businesses are gearing up for larger capacity limits, wine is pouring at many of our favorite tasting rooms, and it’s Oregon Wine Month!

We are so grateful and excited for all of this positive progress, and even to see many other races around us back on the calendar for this spring and summer. However, in planning our own next steps, we had to make the decision that was best for our organization and our unique festival-centered race experience. We have decided to further postpone the return of the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon in-person event so we can have the most possible clarity and confidence on how provide you with not only a beautiful race course, but also the full wine tasting festival experience we are known and loved for. In the meantime, this summer you will be able to run, sip, and celebrate with us in spirit as we take the 2021 Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon virtual! Our events are all about a flavor for everyone and the virtual experience is no exception. You can run, jog, or walk a 5k, 10k, or half marathon, and you can go for it solo, relay-style with a partner, or as a full team. And of course, there will be wine involved!

We have a feeling this summer is going to be great. We hope you have the opportunity to safely do some of the things you’ve been missing most. But we also know it will be a summer full of questions and logistical considerations as we all figure this next phase of life out together. So, we’ll just keep it simple and ask you one. Will you run for wine?

Stay tuned for all of the virtual race information, registration, and instructions for currently deferred race participants to come in June! If you were previously registered for the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon and deferred your entry to 2021, you will have the option for free registration to any 2021 virtual race option, or to defer your entry again to our next in-person event in 2022.
