The Portland Sports Mural is a celebration of the athletic franchises that have been a huge part of Portlanders' lives for over a century. This mural will honor over 70 professional, semi-professional, and college teams that have called Portland home, showcasing logos from a variety of sports.

This impressive commemoration will be on the south wall of the Embassy Suites parking garage at SW 3rd & Oak. Covering most of the 6-story wall, the mural will be painted by the talented Danny Stephens Art muralist group and produced by Portland's Jason Savage Productions, known for his production of the Portland Music Mural on SW 11th & Morrison in 2023.

The idea behind this mural is to display the logos of every team that has ever existed in the area, in the order they were founded. It's a fantastic way to pay homage to the sports that have become a vital part of Portland's cultural identity and to showcase the city's rich athletic history. There will even be space left at the bottom of the mural to add logos for new teams as they are formed.

The mural is expected to take around 75 to 90 days to complete, with plans to start in early summer of 2025. With thousands of cars and pedestrians passing by the wall each week, this mural is sure to attract a lot of attention. Press releases announcing the public unveiling celebration will be sent out to all local and some national media.

Donation tiers are listed in this information package. If the project is unable to be done in 2025, all donations will carry over to the mural being done in the summer of 2026.
