Oregon Wine Country Half marathon Marketing Coordinator
We are seeking a Marketing Coordinator to elevate the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon. This is a part-time, six-month seasonal position with a start date of March 21, 2022 and an end date of September 23, 2022. From day one, this individual will take over existing marketing programs, while creating new initiatives aligned with our mission and vision. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media. The coordinator must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines.
Marketing Job Duties:
Lead the OWCHM marketing strategy, schedule, and execution
Work with Events and Marketing Coordinator to schedule and organize opportunities to represent OWCHM at various running events including tabling and volunteering
Work with Digital Marketing Manager on messaging and communication priorities
Ensure all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term business goals, identifying and executing improvements for processes, content, and lead generation
KPI: secure 500 registrations in six months leading up to the race
KPI: show clear return on investment from $500 monthly advertising budget
Social Media Job Duties:
Work with Digital Marketing Manager to produce visual and written content for all social media platforms
Lead development of social ambassador program
Mange the social media voice of OWCHM including live coverage of events
Knowledge of industry trends and best practices to communicate effectively
Preferred: basic graphic design experience using Adobe Creative Suite
KPI: Create and post weekly content to OWCHM social accounts for 25-straight weeks
KPI: Grow follower counts by 50%; currently 2,266 on Instagram, 98 on Twitter, and 363 Facebook
Job Qualifications:
Progress towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising or Communications or equivalent education/experience
Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing
High-level attention to detail
Exceptional organizational skills
Outside the box thinker, able to solve problems
Team player – we are a small and agile team
Passion and interest in pursuing a career in sports or entertainment
Ability to work non-traditional hours and weekends
A valid driver’s license and access to transportation
Compensation: Hourly (10 hours/week - $20/hour)
